Spring break in 2003 somehow just managed to surround Fat Tuesday. So once again, I organized a group of 8 people to go to New Orleans for a week. We traveled with much more room though because this time we took Jacqui's Subaru Outback Wagon and another friend's Pontiac Bonneville.

To make it affordable, we had to stay pretty far out from the French Quarter and we took the motel's free van to and from the city. The van driver was drunker than we were most of the time. We were warned to make sure we only took the motel's van. Apparently there was a scam where people would offer you a ride in what looked like a hotel van or taxi and they would drive you to the badder parts of town and rob you.
