Been a little while again.  I did manage to get back into the states for Christmas.  Jacqui had already been planning to go visit her parents on Christmas so I just drove down with her to Utica.  We went out Christmas day to try to watch Sherlock Holmes, but it was already sold out for the next two shows.  So we ended up watching It's Complicated....  which is HILARIOUS!!  There are some sappy mushy emotional scenes scattered in, but it is a laugh out loud type of movie.

Utica isn't as bad as their reputation would make it seem.  At least not what I've seen of it so far.

I saw on the news that the Crown Point bridge was going to be demolished just a few days after Christmas so Jacqui and I planned to drive up to Port Henry and watch.  Unfortunately the weather didn't want to cooperate, so instead of seeing a great explosion, all we saw was blowing snow and then heard the loud boom.  The public viewing point for the demolition was just too far away.  But apparently a news crew was allowed to set up closer so you can watch the demolition.

Then when we were back home in Glens Falls trying to figure out what to do for New Year's Eve, Jacqui got a message from our friend Jen to come out to her and Dave's place for NYE.  After checking flights we went ahead and booked some cheap flights and Dave helped hook me up at the Sheraton hotel for $60/night.  We went ahead and made a weekend of it so that we could hang out and catch up.  This seems to be a tradition now....spending NYE away from home...

The hotel room was really nice, even if I didn't think to take pics of it.  I did think it was really cool that the desk had plugs so you could easily plug your laptop into the desk, and that was connected to the TV.

Hope everyone had a great year in 2009!  This is the end of this blog and now to the beginning of 2010.
