Today was the day that we planned to go on a Scotch Whisky distillery tasting tour. We went to the Auchentoshan Distillery. Having never really had Scotch Whisky before, I had no idea what I might like so I wanted to do the tasting tour that let you try several different types of Whisky to see what was good.

The Distillery here is a little complicated to find.  If you type in their address, you end up in the wrong town.  And because of where they're situated between two highways, you can only access the distillery from one direction.  I got lost a couple of times and turned around but we still made it there in time.

The tour is really informative, even if you don't drink, it'd be fun to go to learn about how Whisky is made and see it being made!  So we tried several different varieties of Whisky and also got to taste it at the different stages, like fermenting, and distilling (before casking).  The only type that I would drink is the 18-yr old Scotch, but at US$80/bottle, I don't think I'll get into it...  But now at least I know.

After the tour we headed into Glasgow for lunch.  Stopped at this little Tapas bar and had a tasty selection of meat, cheese, and dips.  I can't remember the name of it for the life of me and I forgot to take a picture.  Dinner was at a Scottish restaurant called Raeburn's which is really close to the hotel.
