It's an amazing thing to spend almost an entire day in the darkest of night.  Our plane seemed to be matching the dark side of the planet as we traveled... providing for a very dark, but very quiet flight as most everyone slept the entire time.  Considering what I know now of jet-lag I would say that it was fortunate that we got the extra sleep time in and were overly rested once we got on the ground.  Shifting your internal time clock simply takes lots of sleep and time... time we haven't had much of as it seems like everything is "go.. go.. go!".

On the ground at MNL we met Erni who as it turns out is a close friend of a lady we'll be working with.  Erni works in customs at what appears to be a high level as he ordered our bags off the plane first and we simply walked through customs and straight through security without pausing.  Lots of smiles and nodding, but no problems... good to know people.  Amazing how the Lord places those special people in our paths to make our journeys easier.  It allows us to save our strength for the struggles we are appointed to survive.

One word to describe Manila... HUMIDITY.... this is supposedly the "dry season"... holy mackerl batman!! Walking out of the airconditioned airport it was like walking into an indoor swimming pool room... EXCEPT WE WERE OUTSIDE!  Phew!!! If I don't loose weight here I'm doomed to be fat forever... laugh!
