So the family and I after getting some more rest from our "resting"/vacation, decided that it would be good to put up our Christmas tree and spend some more quality time together.

It wasn't until we were done that we all realized this was the first time since moving to this house that I was actually home during the time period where we setup our Christmas tree.  Autodesk University, an industry convention, had always taken me away from home during this week following Thanksgiving...  So even in the light of my departing for several weeks, we all realized the blessings have already started coming from this trip.

Tomorrow I finish packing and then the next day Patrick and I will be heading to the airport for our journey through time to arrive in Manila.

Glad you had some family time!
Hey Derek, Looks like you had some great family time with the mini vacation and decorating festival! Amazing that you thought back and realized this was better than the holidays usually were.
