Bled

After catching the bus back to Salzburg, i then after purchasing Burger King!! got the train for Slovenia. I had to catch a 4 hour train to a town in Austria called Villach. Which sounded like Bellack. Finally after all the rain i saw Austria. It looked beautiful when i saw it from the train. Green hills, blue sky etc. After the 4 hour train i had 30 seconds (because the previous train was late) to get to the transfer train. I made it took the 1 hour train to Bled in Slovenia. I once again did not recieve a stamp on my passport. It seems that when u travel from one european union country to another, they couldnt even care about stamps. They dont even carry the stamping thingy.

Arrived in bled about 8pm at night. To find that the only bank machine around was busted. I had to catch the bus into town and had no local money. Ended up getting some change from euros and went to hostel with a german couple i met at the bus stop. The guy was called Onso the girl i have no idea. They were a friendly pair who kept me company the first night. That doesnt sound right!. Onso was saying that he was still somewhat apprenhensive about Germany being viewed as nazis and stuff and i was like, i just went to Hitlers Eagle Nest. Was a bit wierd.

The day was spent with me walking around the lake of bled. Bled is pretty much a town on the lake with an island in the middle that has a church on it. It took me a few hours to walk around the lake and i think i took way to many pictures. I remembered i actually saw this place on the great outdoors (travel show) and people have weddings and stuff there. Gondolas can take u to the island or u can hire a boat for 20 bucks for an hour. I thought stuff it. Its just another church.

I spent the rest of the day just sitting by the lake reading a book. Feeding the ducks with the bread i just bought. Ive decided i need to save more, so i bought bread, nutella and peanut butter, and who could forget some werthers originals.

The hostel was great, people there were really nice. Gave me breakfast when i slept in, put the tv on for me. Watched a bit of tomb raider. Pretty much i spent 2 nights in Bled, 1 day and didnt do much but sit by the lake. You could do hiking tours for 100 bucks oz, but the reason i came here was to just sit by the lake.
