After Osaka I returned to Tokyo for a few days. I intended to make my last weekend in Japan a big one. But, I felt so rundown and sick I took it pretty easy.

Mt Fuji

I intended to go to Mt Fuji on my way to Tokyo. But there was so much haze that I could barely see 10 metres in front of me at the Fuji station. So no Mt Fuji for me.

Movies

I saw the new Transformers movie and realised something. After the movie when the credits role. The lights do not turn on and everyone will sit there until the credits run to the end. I found this out when I saw the Terminator movie in Osaka. I though there must have been extra scenes after the credits. In Tokyo when I saw Transformers I had bought the last ticket. A buzzer actually went off to say there were no more tickets. I didn't know what the “1” under the movie time was until I bought the ticket and it changed to a cross. What sucked fo me was that I was stuck in the center of the cinema as no one would move until the credits finished. I ended up being a rude westerner and pushed my way through....

Drinking

I only went out once to a bar. I went to the New York Bar at the Park Hyatt Hotel. I think it is on the 42nd floor or something like that. Famous for being the place Bill Murray hung out at in the movie “Lost in Translation”. I felt very out of place.... Everyone was in suits and fancy dresses
while I was in an old t-shirt and volleys. The guy even pulled the sit back for me and pushed it in as I sat down. I had one very expense 15 dollar Suntory beer “For relaxing times – make it
Suntory times”...

Overall

I didn't do much. I walked around trying to find presents for people. Ended up walking around the electric town waving at maids. Tried to do my best to catch up on lost sleep and get my energy back for future meeting with the great one.... David Baker....
