Today Tressa and I used this day to relax and reflect on the week, We drove into Old San Juan to look for souvenirs for family and Friends after finding a more reasonable place to park (it is located by the El Morro) we walked the streets in and out of every shop imaginable we located one item here and one item there. Today it rained off and on all day one thing that you should prepare yourself for it rains here quiet often usually for 30 minutes and the good for hours today was our only day of pretty constant rain. Today we found a small restaurant down a small dead end street and me and Tressa shared a plate Chicken with rice & beans, the chicken was seasoned very well and the rice and beans were great this plate also came with a small spinach salad that was topped with balsamic vinegar. After finding all of the trinkets that we needed we drove to Bayamon to a Walmart I wanted a T-shirt with the central American games on it we were successfully. We then drove back to the hotel and enjoyed a subway sandwich were we were surprised to find that their 6" sandwiches sell for $5.00 were in Texas a 12" sells for $5.00 dollars. We retired to the hotel for a couple of hours then took our nightly walk up and back on Ashford street there is a lot to look at from merchants to people and it is very relaxing and everyone should feel safe in this area
. For our Meal of the evening we decided on a restaurant across the street from the hotel called Wasabi it is a Sushi Restaurant, The decor was very interesting with raised walkways to the tables and a large cushion on the walkway at the table, we ordered a miso soup to start the meal then we ordered peppered tuna, grilled spicy scallops and two rolls one was the Mexican roll it was Jalapeno tuna with a light eel sauce and we ordered a spicy tuna roll. The food was very good my favorite of the night would have to be the peppered tuna it was Delicious. After we ate we walked back to the hotel Tressa went to the casino for one last night of slots and I walked down to the gym to get in a workout. I will say that I have really enjoyed the people and the history and the hospitality and do plan to come back. This is my last night me and Tressa fly out in the morning.
