The weather is set to be better here than at home so we've negotiated an extra night for us 3, Jan Emma and Adam. Jan Martin and I head back to the start of the first day's walk with us 2 intending to do Stob Ban, and Jan doing all of the grey corries. We had lovely warm sunshine and went through the Lairig Leacach northwards to the mountain bothie at the bottom of the ascent corrie. The sunshine was lovely and warm, but there was a very cold wind. The path climbed slowly into the corrie by the side of the sream, until we reached the head wall and found a path winding up to the beallach between Stob Ban and Stob Choire Claurigh (our first Munro earlier in the week.) The final ascent was on a really grotty rough stony scree path, but the views were worth it. By now Jan was already on his second Munro and we lost sight of him along the ridge of the Grey Corries.
The descent was on a good ridge path back to the bothy and back up the valley to the start.
Jan continued over all the grey corries, and the 2 aonachs to be picked up some hours later near the bottom of the gondola station; a mammoth trip!
