Actualy realizing why we are so thrilled with Ireland - I expected more of a English experience, scenery etc but Ireland is sooo different - the beauty blows me away - every corner you turn, another slice of heaven. And quick food service!! within minutes of sitting, right after serving your tea or wine or beer, the food arrives with a great smile and hurry to serve attitude. Nice..
Excuse was we had to have a lunch stop and so Blarney was just the right distance
Landed in Kinsale, tired from driving, drizzly out, rather dark and dreary looking place. Room ok but our expectations of what Kinsale would be like were different than what we found. Had a glass of wine to relax after winding, narrow roads and craziness getting through Cork – Rich did admirably! Our server was not too interested in assisting us but maybe we were just tired. Wandered the streets, both of us feeling like, ok - time to think of going home. Found a place for lamb in this seafood town – Jim Edwards Pub and it was actually excellent; short walkabout and fell into bed early – heaven!
