Where I stayed
So after 2 days in one spot, it was time to cover the most territory in one day, Letterfrack to Dingle with lots of secondary roads to get to Dingle where we are staying 3 nights - time to do a bit of laundry and chill. Maybe it will finally rain!! so we'll chill for a bit?? No-one can believe, including ourselves! that we have not had any rain for a week?? it seems to dance around us and miss us!!
So off we headed expecting 4 -5 hours of driving which actually was a tad more. I started out so I could do the secondary roads leaving Rich the speedy motorways, ending with more twists and turns to get into Dingle. One missed road - poop - 20 - 30 minutes re-do - stopped after 2 hours at Craft village in Spiddal - great coffee for R and tea with milk and sugar becoming a norm when driving/tired in particular for B. Lunch was tricky as Sunday lunches are huge here - 3:00 pm we finally stopped a funny bigger hotel but great "Toasties" much needed and off again.
Fabulous B and B in Dingle - Greenmount House - perfect room on ground level, view of the sea with again, delightful innkeeper's. Had fab seafood chowder at Murphy's in town - getting blustery - YES!! but town looks perfect with lots of galleries and shops to poke about in if the rains do arrive. Will hopefully be able to do a bit of walking as again - this area looks great. Had a toast to Auntie Franlie Murphy Heath ;).
Back to sitting room for cozy quiet reading and 'interneting' times.
