Lazier, relaxing morning, strolled the streets of Prague, picked up goofy T-shirts for the boys, bought our last Trdelniks for the car ride to KV. Lovely ride with a wonderfully friendly hotel car driver who was surprised we knew what was in the fields - Hops!! That's why there's so much beer in Czech R - fields and fields of hops.
GrandHotel Pupp - quite the place - see pic. 311 years old - quite the grand lady - we feel like royalty. Lamborghini in the drive of the hotel. Very little English spoken here - almost to the point of being humourous as the grumpy server for lunch exhibited. Nice chap behind us taught us our first Russian word - for spoon - Luska! Many Russians!! I feel thin again!! but am not! Was so nice to finally find a good salad just with grilled chicken for lunch. Strolled the streets - one side then down the other of the river that divides KV, Gorgeous spa town but oh my goodness the pricey shops - every high end shop I know and many more I don't!! Dior and Armani clothes shops for babies and children even!!
Back for feet up after a steam and hot tub (booked massages for next day - $50 for 90 minutes!!) and then freshened up for dinner. Went to the Becher's Bar for our 2 for one cocktail - underground in this place! crazy!! Tired but were glad we dragged ourselves up the hill and then an elevator to a great little restaurant overlooking KV. More meat (what else??) pork tenderloin so yummy and R tried Lamb Knuckle - not as big as his pork knuckles LOL and equally as yummy. Even went for the homemade apple strudel! Funny singer - the only English songs he knew was Frank Sinatra and asked if we wanted it - NO!! thanks tho' - Czech music was super tho' but the police arrived near the end of our meal and told them to turn it down - guess it echoes in this small town or someone grumpy complained. Thought the restaurant was being robbed - they were so serious about it!! Dogs even given bowls of water in the restaurant - Rich actually admitted he was warming up to getting a pooch!! Charcoal will have a friend!!
Off to sleep - tired but a good tired.
