Cold cold Day!!  We hear that it feels like December and yup it does to us definitely - first rain too.  Day 3 of journey is trickiest of jet lag so found ourselves dozing and all of a sudden it was 11:00 a.m. Yikes!! hate to waste the time sleeping but I guess one cannot fight the natural rythmes of self. Up, out the door to drag suitcases over the cobblestones, down the train stairs and wangled,tangled through the ticket stalls - heh heh - gotta keep thinking how to make things work in a "foreign land".  Struggling with our French but it's amazing how much has stuck.  My issue is mixing all that Spanish immersion with French, s'il vous plait versus por favour! geesh, si or oui!  time will help. Catch the pic of the new hat purchased in a "chapeau shop/hattery" from a delightful young lady - all wool for warmth!!.  Much todo about food in France - all such skilled artisans - ie dinner - each of us has to choose a surprise entree or appetiser (not too sure of the french and too difficult to ask for translation - R ended up with a cappacio of thinly sliced scallops!! incredible!- how do they do that\??
 -mine was chicken (I think!!) rolled up,stuffed with ?? and standing with deep fried turnip bits after escargote on pureed ?? with spinach drizzle.  Entertained by a young server literally running from one end of the small restaurant to the other and the other server the opposite - slow and calm and confident...
Getting that old nagging feeling of too blessed with too much....will I ever reach a place of total contentment with having these oh so incredible opportunities?? Appreciating every minute!  On to Giverny tomorrow even if it rains!! Will be one off my Bucket list.
