We are making good progress at 17 knots as we sail to the most northern tip of Australia on our way to Darwin, passing by Wednesday Island, Thursday Island & Friday Island, those explorers years ago probably ran out of peoples names to give to the islands along the coastline.
Back to the craft class this morning, I doubt you will guess from the photo what I am making! It should be completed by the time we reach Darwin, I will post photo of the finished item. We have an hour each sea day and that 60 minutes zooms by as we get creative.
Spent some time on deck before a quick rain shower cleared the decks, but we were in the swimming pool so were wet anyway, everyone else scurried inside only for the sun to come out again within minutes.
A stroll around the ship after a light lunch - in the afternoon I went along to another talk, this time all about Orchids, the speaker lived for many years in Singapore/Malaysia/Hong Kong and was very knowledgeable on her subject.
It's Formal dress code this evening, always nice to see everyone in their posh frocks and DJ's.
We are on 2nd sitting which is at 8.30pm by the time we have eaten and chatted with our table companions it is usually around 10pm. So far we have not managed to get to the theatre for the entertainment preferring to have a liqueur & a pint in one of the bars where there is a choice of musical entertainment a String Trio, a Saxophone/Keyboard player or a more livelier band. So plenty on offer to suit all tastes.
