It has been quite a while since I've updated my blog. You'll have to forgive me, but I'd rather have less entries that are more entertaining than bore you with my day-to-day happenings. And day-to-day is exacatly what my life has been lately. I don't mean that in a bad way by any means, I've just fallen into a pattern of work, weekend, and of course I try to sneak in a bit of adventure here and there, like last weekend when I planned a day-trip to the Royal National Park to walk and enjoy the beautiful beach.

This entry, and possibly a few to follow, will be a sort of hodge-podge including poems, musings about events, and pictures.

I will give a bit of an update here to put things into perspective of where I am right now-
I am excited! to be moving
I am happy! to have a job
I am entertained! by a few very nice friends and a very nice guy
I am eager! to start traveling
but of course I am enjoying every moment for what it is, or at least trying.

I will be moving apartments this week. From an apartment with 5 people in the heart of the city halfway between Chinatown and Darling Harbour (a tourist development site) where it's loud, busy, and impersonal to my own bedroom in a house in the bohemian, artsy part of Sydney, Newtown. And all for the same price!

Let's start out with a poem:

The world at large
a flight away
but countless differences
across our days
Giving us tastes
to color our stories
and knowledge to
open our hearts wider
    The surface of our lives
    may be only so deep
but the depth of the differences
    are endlessly steep
Embracing the diversity
of this world we have created
make it possible to see
the basic human similarities
and the beauty in those truths

A good heart is the most valuable resource.
