We went to a small town in Tuscany called
Certaldo after we left the Cinque Terre. We had a very unique experience here. Not only did it rain the entire time but our hostel was 20 minutes outside of Certaldo and in order to eat we need to shop for food but... since we arrived on a sunday everything was closed. After our third trip into the town trying to find food and after all the wine tours and bike tours had been cancelled due to the heavy rain showers we decided a trip back to
Florence for the next night was in order. The best part about our stay in
Certaldo was that we had an opportunity to enjoy an authentic Italian meal with all the courses surrounded by big families enjoying food and conversation (when we finally found food to eat)!
