Once the whole family had piled into the car, we headed off to Aunty Pat and Uncle Graham's house. We went inside and after getting the internet connected I chatted to some of my friends across Skype and used the webcam to show them around where we were staying. After everyone was ready to go, the 9 of us headed off down to the beach. When we arrived, mum, dad, Celeste, Nikita and Uncle Graham headed off to find the horse riding place where Celeste would be going on a beach ride while the rest of us waited in the car out of the cold. 20 minutes later we watched Celeste walk past the car window on a beautiful, dark bay Clydesdale and Celeste looked right at home.
Those of us still in the car piled out and joined the rest of the family and we all followed the horses down to watch the walk across the beach.
While we were watching the horses walk away we took the opportunity to run up and down Ross Castle, which was basically just a spiral ramp to a landing at the top but it looked really cool. The 8 of us then headed down to the arcade along the beach to get out of the cold and to give us an opportunity to play some games.
Bronte and I had fun on the dance game while Noah headed straight to the bowling. Once we had all had a turn on one game or another, we headed to a fish-n-chips shop for our first taste of the Grimsby specialty and I must say they tasted great.
We snacked on the chips and gravy as we headed back to watch Celeste return from her ride. Once Celeste was finished, we returned to the car and traveled to a pub for lunch. While most chose to have the carvery I decided to stick with a kids' pizza as I was still full up from the snack we had had earlier. After an hour once we had all eaten our main course and ice cream, we returned to Aunty Pat's and Uncle Graham's house which was just across the road. We relaxed in the lounge room and then mum, dad, Celeste, Aunty Pat and Uncle Graham headed off to do some shopping leaving Nikita, Bronte, Noah and I with mum's cousin Daimen.
We were all fairly tired so we chilled out watching TV, surfing the internet and playing board games until the family returned 2 hours later. We packed up our stuff and us kids headed home with dad to pack up our bathers (or our 'swimming costumes' as they are known here) so we could go to the swimming centre. We had a light bite to eat before we traveled back to pick up Aunty Pat, Uncle Graham and mum on the way to the pool.
It was absolutely freezing when we got out of the car at the swimming centre. We raced inside and met up with Aunty Pat and Uncle Graham's son Leo, his wife Elaine and their son Jacob. After dad had paid for us all we put our 'swimming costumes' and hopped in the pool. As soon as we touched the water we realized that it wasn't heated anywhere near as warm as pools are in Melbourne, but because of this the chlorine levels weren't as high so our eyes didn't sting. After 20 minutes of swimming around they turned the waves on and opened up the water slide.
We swam around for an hour before we started to feel tired. Once everyone had dried off and changed back into their clothes we returned to Aunty Pat and Uncle Graham's house. For dinner we were made burgers and hotdogs with sweet biscuits for dessert. After saying goodbye to everyone we returned to Willingham Street for showers before we all flopped down in bed.
Once again today I woke up bright and early and began to get ready. After I had had breakfast and gotten the laptop together, dad, Nikita and I headed off to the 3 shop to fix our internet. It took us around 40 minutes but we eventually managed to figure out what was wrong with our internet and due to gibberish emails we had been receiving from 3 we used the 7GB of download we had paid for in 10 minutes. After dad spoke on the phone to the technicians they refunded half of our download which was better than nothing. We packed up the laptop and returned home to pick up the rest of the family.
