By today, we were all so complacent about our rafting skills that we begged to be taken to some more daring rapids.
I have never been so glad to be wearing one of thoso down-right unattractive safety helmets in my entire life!
The rapids were incredible, and by the end of our 2 hour session we were all so soaked that we plunged into the river and floated our way 1/2 mile downstream to the waiting van.
I'm sure that, if we had been allowed to try, we could have beated the van back to Cusco. Although, perhaps not in one piece...

I think there must be other letters ahead of this which I have yet to read - I really must start to do it in date order! Glad it was fun, though I'm a bit of a dry weather friend myself.
