I guess I should start with where I left off in April. I was in Sweden still traveling. Well in June the EU kicked me out (according to the rules I could only be there three months) so I returned to the US intending to return to work (yes, go ahead and laugh ... again). Instead Tommy came to the US in July and we took a road trip out west. We covered Columbus, Indianapolis, Chicago, the Badlands, Devil's Tower, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Waterton, Glacier, Banff, Jasper, and Niagara Falls. Hopefully sometime I'll go back and write about each of these places individually but for now you'll have to live with the comment "The National Parks, especially the ones in Canada, were amazing. And yes I saw lots of bears.".

Then in August Tommy went back to Sweden to finish up his school which he should be done with by the end of the year. I (some of you better prepare yourselves to hear this) went back to work. Yup. It's true. I went back to the real world. Back to the daily grind. Back to work.

So that's where it stands now. I am traveling for work around the country (I just happen to be working in Maine this week), but it's nothing like the traveling I just came from. Yes I hear people speaking different languages at work and I have to try and understand what some of them are trying to say and decipher their emails, but it's not the same. My brain remembers a surprising amount of stuff that I knew before I left (I am still working for the same company, back from my leave of absence) even though I tried hard for over a year to forget everything connected to work.

I'm not quite yet ready to right "the final entry" but I can answer a few questions I keep getting asked.

Are things different? Most definitely.
Have I changed? I think so.
Was it worth it? I would have paid twice as much.
How much did you spend? Not really sure but it will be nice to get paychecks again.
How is the world? Fantastic, go and see it.
Would I do it again? Faster than "in a heartbeat"
Are you done traveling? Well I'm allowed back in the EU September 21st ...
