One of the concepts we talk about in class is how in a symphony there is a section where the musical themes develop, and there is 'variety with unity.' I think this idea is fitting for the city of Vienna. There are cultural sights everywhere, from little coffee shops to boutiques and museums and theaters, monuments, and parks.
In our last few days, I was able to check out more areas of Vienna outside of the center city or inner ring. It was nice to see different neighborhoods. Also, I went to the foothills of the Alps where I was able to see the Danube River and Vienna below. The opera DonGiovanni was quite the show. We saw it in the State Opera House. They did a fabulous job with the set, costumes, and not to mention singing! The end of the trip came all too soon and so I said see ya later to Vienna until one day when I will hopefully return.
