So we arrived in Sucre on Monday unsure if we would spend 1 or 2 nights here. However, upon arriving in the bus our mind was made up …it is a beautiful city with many white walled buildings, a lovely big plaza and a big park, more green than we had seen for a while.  We met another couple on Tuesday who said the weather had been lovely in Sucre for the past week but we were not so lucky as it was grey skies, threatening thunder and lightening. So we saved most of the exploring of Sucre until Wednesday when the sun was shining again :) That night we headed out for a few drinks and a nice meal, determined to check out the nightlife. We ended up in a bar recommended by our bibles (lonely planet and footprints), although we had to wake the barman to get served, so not exactly a lively night!!!!

On Wednesday we headed up a hill for a viewpoint. Struggling with the climb at altitude, Ben wasn’t looking where he was going and walked straight into a lamp post, I was out of breath,  thought I would faint I was laughing so much, honestly it’s something I still laugh at now…..The rest of the day we walked around the town, taking it easy. In the afternoon, I climbed a mini Eiffel tower they have in the park with many Bolivian kids (random!). As the sun went down, we packed our bags and headed to the bus terminal, ready for the 12 hour night bus to La Paz……
