(So taking Renes advice we took a bus to Tuesday around 12pm. We had to change buses at La Serena, and then at Vicuņa onto a little Collectivo (local bus) finally arriving at 9.30pm, exhausted!

After an interrupted sleep from the local cockerills (from about 3am onwards!) we explored Pisco, a town of about 3 streets! It was beautfully sunny and warm here and the one hammock in our hostel was outside our cabin, life could not have been better!

We decided this was the perfect place to go horseriding and the scenery was fantastic. We booked a lesson for 3.30pm with Ramon Luis. Having never ridden b4 and Ben only when he was 5 we were a little bit wary, but Ramon never gave us time to be nervous: within minutes having learn how to stop the horse and kick it to get it moving we were off into rivers, walking on VERY narrow paths on the edge of mountains and through undergrowth getting scratched and stuck in branches as my horse decided to forget there was someone riding him (and when I directed right wanted to go left...)!! There were a few moments where I wondered if I would survive to tell the story, as each time I was stuck in a bush Ramon came rushing over to take a picture for his website, oh great!!! It was a fantatstic 4 hours though with scenery we would never have seen on foot. We also passed a Pisco distillery and the smell was just divine! After 4 hours on the horse I was in shall we say a lot of pain, Ramon had to carry lift me off the horse, much to his amusement and Ben and I hobbled back to the hostel that evening!

Not much else to see in Pisco unless we stayed another night to go to an observatory, so we decided to leave the next day for La Serena......
