The hotel was lovely although slightly different from the description and definitely not as close to the lake that the area is famous for, than they purport to be.
Mara and I enjoyed a couple of days jam packed with doing nothing.....lazing around; saunas, steam room, infra light room, icy plunge pool, jacuzzi, mineral lake swimming, massages, facials (indeed) and walks.
Mara bought me a lovely birthday present in the town and we had good food each night, and it was a lovely, albeit brief trip.
We met up with Mara's old school teacher, and his family made me a special birthday cake (although I ate too much and had stomach ache).
They also gave us some lovely engine cleaner...er, I mean palinka alcoholic drink.
When we returned to Budapest we had an amazing meal in a restaurant near her home with all of her family as her mum, dad and brother all share a birthday with me. The following day everyone came over for an extended family gathering as well before we returned home the following day.
