Where I stayed
Sadar Haveli

I am feeling better after resting for last 3 days at haveli.

It is NYE and im off to Jaisalmer tomorrow eve for more adventures now I am better and rested (rather than bitter and twisted).

I have loads more fotos that I will upload tomorrow before I leave here. Enjoy your evening people.

Afzal the owners son wishes me Happy NYE as soon as I appear from my room.
I eat evening meal at Yogi's restaurant and wander the streets, bumping into Mosin Khan who is related to owner of the haveli I am staying at.
Mosin and his friends, Samir and Arif, take me to see some street festivals and try to get me to do the big drums that I have mentioned in my Agra post, but I politely decline, having as much rhythm as a three legged dead cat with no paws.
I head back to haveli just before midnight, climb onto the very top roof and watch fireworks all over city and hill fort.
Rahil the owners grandson, 11, joins me and then we climb down to watch a street celebration/ procession from the roof veranda which he kindly explains to me. Then we go for cake at 1am with his grandfather, Ashfaque, the owner and watch Indian stricly come dancing on TV. Rahil's younger brother turns up and we play cards until he is toild to go to bed. Strange but satisfying NYE. They have made me feel very welcome here, one of the family.

Must sleep busy day tomorrow
