So some how we had slightly miscalculated when we needed to be in Washington DC (
Abi can't count - Ben) and found our selves with an extra day. Everyone was pretty exhausted from running round New York trying to fit everything in like crazy people. We pulled off just inside Maryland and found a camp site just 30 miles from Washington DC so that we could spend a whole day just doing... nothing. Well, not nothing, but almost nothing. It was an absolute gem of a campsite, with swimming pools and a very cheap restaurant (
Just $10 for all 4 breakfasts! - Nic). We settled in to our tent site which compared to the rest of the place was crap - A highway just 100m away and full of mosquitos. We took ALL of our laundry to the pool with us and got it all done, including sleeping bags which were starting to smell after getting damp and sitting in a car for several days. We then got very lazy around the pool and just sat around waiting for the washing to be done. Once that was done we folded it and put it all back.... and went back to the pool. All day. It was great. The end.
