A rift has emerged. On the one side, the eternal optimist, myself, and on the other, the eternal pessimist, Nic. Currently Michelle leans towards optimism whereas Abi leans on the evil ahem I mean pessimistic side. As such I will weave the tale of this day from the 4 points of view. It should be noted that everything here will probably be wildly exaggerated and bordering on the silly.

So we set off:

Ben: WOO! NEW YORK! YES!
Michelle: Cool , going somewhere new
Abi: More time in the car? Really?
Nic: We are lost already

We went a little astray and had to make a 20 mile U-turn to go to Rhode Island

Ben: WOO

Movie!

! RHODE ISLAND! YES!
Michelle: Well atleast we can say we have been!
Abi: $4 to get there and $4 to get back. Expensive damn detour
Nic: What a waste of my goddamn time

Back on the road we wanted to go to see Yale University

Ben: WOO! YALE! YES!
Michelle: Oh its only a mile out of the way, thats ok
Abi: My Knee hurts and we are going to get to the campsite late
Nic: damn one way systems we're lost stupid car

Finally we headed to New York with no more stops to do. However there was some issue as to where we are going

Ben (bit tired by this point as I have been driving all day): weeeeh! New york.... meeeeh!

3000 miles!

Michelle: (Asleep)
Abi: I would be excited but we've been on the road for 10 HOURS
Nic: WHERE THE HELL ARE WE

Finally we arrive at the camp site, its a very modest $23 so we pay up and set the tents up. They're a bit wet but we mop them out and bunk down for the night as we are getting up early (6:30). Not long after we do it starts to rain... and I mean rain. It absolutely chucked it down for about an hour so noone got to sleep untill it subsided, which it sort of did but it was still pretty heavy. Needless to say none of us got much sleep!
