Leah says: Quebec City was just as gorgeous as I remember. It is a very quaint very French city with beautiful buildings and sections of cobbled streets.

We spent a full day in Quebec wandering around. We looked at stalls selling artwork and craft. We wandered down to the excavation of the original palace rooms. This was an exhibition that had been set up to commemorate the 400 year anniversary of the founding of the city.

We took a tour of the old fort which is still used by Army personnel today. We walked around the walls of the old city, racing up the stairs to the top of the wall. Quebec City is the only walled city with fortified walls left in North America above Mexico.

Finally we retired to our lovely little guest house room which was very central and in keeping with the quaint surroundings. The following morning we headed off to the train station and continued our journey on to Montreal.
