Tonight deserves a special mention. After a tough day on the bikes riding into a consistent headwind we found a secluded patch of Forest just behind some farmlands. The area had just been visited by loggers, so there was plenty of good firewood lying around the site. Yesterday I had mentioned to Sam that it was about time that we had our first campfire for the tour...funny how these things happen. So a campfire it was then, and what a beauty she turned out to be...we stayed up half the night just laying around the fire, shirts off...enjoying the heat of the flames. We had the sounds of Ben Harper, Jack Johnson and Donavon Frankenreiter playing from the I-pod in the back ground for a while, then we just enjoyed the crackle of the fire for a couple of hours before calling it a night. It must be said again...good times!
