Hiya all. I'm currently writing this from a boat on my way to Greece. I just spent nearly a week in Italia (se, se) which was, well, pretty damned good really. If anything, when you compare the whole mess to the rest of Europe (and particularly Sweden), Italy is kinda dirty and the people are ugly and not particularly friendly but for some reason I really like the joint. It's got heaps of character; the pizza's are great, there's always some crazy Italian guy yelling obscenities into his phone, there are classic Italian Stallions everywhere and everyone flies along in nice new alfa's or ancient old Fiat 500's. Its great. (To tell the truth I think its just cause every time I hear an Italian accent I can't help but think of The Godfather movies and start laughing...). We spent 3 nights in Rome checking out some fairly spectacular historical stuff (St Peter's and the Vatican were amazing while the Sistine Chappel itself was beyond words) and then went to a beachside town called Vieste to get some fresh air for a few days.
On another note, the plan at the moment is to spend only 2 nights in Athens and check out all the historicalish stuff, then jump on the boat back to Italia and go visit Christiano and Mattia (and go to Modena, which is just next door to them!).

Hehe. I have to tell you guys about the announcements the boat caption just aired on the pa:
"If anyone has a medical condition or disability they are requested to contact reception"
(pause for a bit)
"Also, in case of emergency, if anyone is a doctor they too are requested to contact reception" Really gives us confidence that!
Athens
Ok, I still haven't posted this and I'm now on the boat on the way back to Italia. Athens was nice but we're pretty happy we only spend one real day here because once you've done a tour of the ruins there's nothing much else to see (unless you enjoy the constant competing with speeding bikes and taxi's for dominance along Athen's seedy, dirty, twisting and footpath-less streets?). Predictably though, the kebabs are pretty damn good indeed. Atm I'm in the middle of a 22 hour boat ride so I'm bored to tears - hence many of these photos have been photoshopped to death.
Cyas (again!)

You're hilarious
Really funny descriptions of people on the street, Ben. Good work! Funny video, too.
