Where I stayed
Patong Backpacker Hostel

I took the bus and Ferry from Ko Phi Phi back to Patong. I decided that I needed to see what all the hype was about since I had missed it when I landed in Phuket before my Live Aboard.

Needless to say I arrive there and checked in before sunrise.  THe hostel was infintly better than the bungalows at Phi Phi and I met two french guys in my dorm.  We grabbed some McDOnalds (that marks THailand off the list) and headed to the beach and talked about of all things, immigration within our respective countires and how it is negatively effecting them.  I am referring to illigal immigration, as was he.  He also mention that France has a lot of Brain Drain going on with their labor force.

After this we went back to the hostel and I met Dennis.  Dennis is a crazy funny as hell german from Cologne who is a personal trainer. Lauren he is my hot guy picture for Thailand, let me know if he is your approval.  I also met Yanny, a cambodian girl from Calgary, Canada. Yes Ryan I know its canada and Cambodia, both start with a 'C' and end with an "a" but she is really cool.  THe frenchies passed out and we three hit it off just trading stories about where we have been. We were actually all in Ko Phi Phi at the same time.

We drank some Whiskey and headed out to dinner (for Dennis and Yanny) and I had the best damn beer yet. It was chang but it was so cold there was ice on the glass. WE all agreed it was VERY good.  After this, Yanny of all people said we should go to a "Ping Pong Show."  We agreed and further details regarding the show will only be revealed to select people upon my return.

After that we decided to go to a Lady Boy Cabaret.  ALong the walk down the street there are countelss bars with endless Go GO Dancers and men trying to coas you into there bars with signs and "best deal in town" offers.  It reminds me of Vegas meets Cancun.

We arrived at the Cabaret at 1 AM and were the only 3 people in the show.  Needless to say we got a lot of attention and both Dennis and I had numerous ladyboys develop instant crushes on us.  We had a blast and the show reminded me of again, a cross between Vegas and Gypsy. A few of these Ladyboys looked very beautiful and I could not tell they were men at some point.  There were only 2 likes this.  A couple were very obviously men and most were very close to looking like ladies but needed to have a little work done on something.  The show lasted an hour and we took pictures and videos thoruhgout. Again, some of these pictures I cannot show but will upon my return.

After that we bar hopped to a club until around 4 am and then crashed back at the hostel.  We had all agreed to head to Bangkok together and I bought a bus ticket.  The bus ride was 18 hours and we changed busses threee times. I slept maybe 3 hours and saw 2 movies.  This does change my itinarary a little as I will now have to retun to the south to go to Ko Tao and Ko Phangan.

We arrived in Bangkok at 5 AM and crashed at a hotel with AC since we were all in need of a decent room. Mom you were right.  In Bankok we didn't do much, just shopped, ate and relaxed. We also bought bus tickets to Chang Mai which is another 12 hour bus ride.

Glad to see you got to ride an elephant. I found this looking in the pictures, but I didn't see the travel/blog entry. Also, that is one great looking moth (I think it is a moth, not a butterfly). Also, where did you run into the long-necked women? I thought that was an African thing, I didn't think they did that anywhere in Asia. Just so you know, your pictures and your posts are not always lining up. Enjoy yourself but be smart!
