Where I stayed
Not knowing much about Adelaide, I was very surprised by how pleasant it was there, I did not get to Glenalg Beach, because of a mixture of bad weather and not enough time, but it is supposed to be a very nice, the winery tours are very highly reccomended, again I did not participate, what I liked about Adelaide was the fact it was a nic pleasant, small town, that you could very easily wander around, when the sun is the out.
It is easily a good place to relax and not spend any money, with the botanical gardens, Adelaide Art Gallery, Museum of Southern Australia, and the State Library all within 5 minutes of each other, all free (Free iternet at the Library) and full of culture and history.
You can do a lot worse than stay in Backpack Oz aswell, a very friendly clean, well run and spacious hostel.
If you are nt wildlifed out yet when you are n Adelaide, I would definitely suggest going to Kangaroo Island, at the moment I can not compare to other such nature reserves in Australia, but I had an amazing time there Kangaroo Island
