I decided to spend New Year in Flores even though I had been there before. Reason being I thought it would be a pretty good place to spend it. Lanquin was nice but I wasn't really feeling a good vibe for staying any longer than I already had. So New Years eve I got into another shuttle that took us a good 10 hours to get to Flores. Would probably have got there sooner if it hadnt been for our driver going ridiculously slowly the whole way there!
On the journey we encountered a rather over stacked truck and a guy hanging out of the side of another shuttle bus at some speed!
When we arrived a few of us went out for dinner and then went back to the Hostel to start the party.
It seemed like the party was getting started somewhere else so we left to go find some bars. We ended up drinking by the lake for a while and later dancing in some hippie bar where I was half naked. I was a little over dressed so I think I was attempting to fit in a bit more! It made sense at the time. lol.
New Years day was pretty hot and sunny so a group of us went to a "beach" on the lake. A say beach what I really mean is rocky, ant infested shoreline with some benches! haha. It was nice to chill out and swim in the lake for a while.
