Thinking about travel... Lets go!

Not long to go now!


Early 2005...
That's it, we're going! We've set a date -- March 11th.

We're leaving Dunedin.





Trudie and I are off to the UK for a couple of years, with an adventure on the way. We are planning to start off in Singapore on March the 12th (after a day's travel from NZ). After a few days in Singapore we'll move through Malaysia, seeing the sights and quite possibly lazing on the beach... We'll travel into Thailand for some more adventures and of course lazing on the beach! We're thinking about hooking up with an Intrepid Journeys tour to see the North of Thailand. Check out the Northern Thailand tour, 15 days ex. Bangkok. Trip map here. We're planning on flying over to Hanoi for another few days and exploring the area, maybe doing a tramp. We've heard this is a great place for that sort of thing.

Cambodia and Laos, these are also possibilities but we'll see how things go.

Looking at leaving SE Asia/Indochina around the end of April. Next stop is London! Where we both need to find jobs :( and replace some of the money we've been spending and hopefully save some for our next adventure!

We've got our house on the market, hoping for a long possession date - around mid-end February 2006.

Getting closer everyday and everyday we get more and more excited! Still trying to sell the house. Tenders closed and we didn't get any :(
Going to have to put a price on the house and relist it. Better luck this time.
We're buying bits and pieces for our trip and also started giving away things too! Of course we can't take everything with us but we cannot store every item to sacrifices must be made.
