After spending a couple of days in hectic Kathmandu we decided to travel a full 30 minutes on a bus to Patan, still in Kathmandu valley, but far enough away from the city itself to be a whole different experience. Patan's Durbar square was amazing (see pictures), and is allot more untouched an inspiring than the Durbar square in Kathmandu, well worth the journey for this alone.
Other highlights were Kathmandu zoo (in Patan), a surprisingly good zoo and a fantastic Chance for Mela to take some cool photo's. The low-lite, without a doubt was a local delicacy (pictured) which was one of the driest, spiciest dishes I have ever eaten. Pattan is well worth the visit but don't expect any culinary delights.
