Arrived in Panaji/Panjim on the Early bus, first time since we arrived in Goa that we felt like we were in India real. The Town has a colonial Portuguese feel and area alongside a very Indian part to the town, the market being our particular highlight. This is the first place on our travels we have found that people love to be asked to pose for a photo, as long as they get to see the results and show it to there friends immediately after.
Near Panjim is Old Goa, the original Portuguese city in Goa, it is essentially now just 12 churches\cathedrals of different periods a few ruins and lots of people trying to sell to the tourists.
We liked both towns for different reasons but were looking forward to our 8 hour train the next day to Hampi.
