Auntie Emily decked us out with a room in her cozy and well-situated North Vancouver condo. She ensured we were well fed, dropped us off at the Seabus, bought Ben beer and even booked her condo's party room so we could have a big family bon voyage party! Now talk about hosting!! Emily redefines the word.

Of course, a visit to Squamish for climbing and visiting was in order. We happened upon our wonderful cousins, Tami and Jesse, while they were hosting a group of famous Japanese climbers. Yuji Hirayama among others was visiting and hitting up some of Squamish's hardest climbs (including the famous Cobra Crack)! Thank you to Tami and Jesse for once again letting us descend on you. You are the best!
Prepping for dinner-Kokanee style! (Yuji in red)
The typical dinner scene at Tami and Jesse! We were treated to the most phenomenal Japanese food!

Mike and Dani, long time friends of Ben's from university, have been living in the West End of Vancouver for the last two years and making the most of it! We often stop by for quick visits but this time we were really excited to spend a longer visit with them while we had the chance! Mike and Dani picked us up in Squamish and we headed farther north to hit the Joffre Lakes hike. A beautiful outing followed by beautiful West End sunsets and gelato was more than we could have imagined! Thank to you both!

We also had a great visit and night out with Donat and Juliana. Good times on the UBC campus and in Kitsilano!
On our second to last day, Sally, Dorothy, Emily, Lindsey and Ben enjoyed one of the season's last showings of King Richard II at Vancouver's beloved Bard on the Beach! We had studied relatively hard for this play so they really got a lot of it and found the performance to be top notch! What a wonderful finale to our summer
Bye bye for now Squamish!
