Like the Bungle Bungles in the Kimberley, much here in the Kakadu is currently off limits due to The Wet. Roads to Jim Jim Falls and Ubirr are impassible because of flooding. However, there's still a fair amount that we have seen. We took a boat trip along the Adalaide River on the Jumping Croc tour which was great fun, got some brilliant snaps too. Then we took a more sedate meander along the Yellow Water to see the floodlands. It's all very lush, green and verdant up here in the Top End.

We've seen some fantastic wildlife whilst we've been here, not all of it welcome though: when the sun goes down the bugs come out in force and we've been stung, bitten and now our skin looks like a pin-cushion. We're not celebrities but get us out of here!
