Hello all!!
Firstly sorry Mum and Dad for the lack of phone calls, we have been on a pretty tight schedule and with the time difference we haven't had a chance to call!
Also sorry for the lack of updates, but this one will be good, and we will have photos.
Since the last update a lot has happened.
We wanted Sea Kayaking for 2 days first. My rudder broke on the first day which was a bit annoying, however the scenery was absolutely stunning (see the photos)!
We camped out in Abel Tasman that night and then went kayaking again the 2nd day. The 2nd day the sea was actually a little bit rough so Nate and I got a little Sea sick. However it was still amazing scenery, the beaches running for miles without a single person on them, and we also kayaked past a Seal Colony.
The day after Kayaking we headed over to Westport on (ironically) the far West of the Island. We met loads of other travels from Kiwi Experience buses etc. and even found out that Westport it where Ben Blair is from, one of the bars had loads of photos of him. While in Westport we also did some Black Water rafting/caving. By the name of it I was assuming White Water rafting is caves, however it was much more gentler, it just involved walking through some impressive caves and seeing stalegmites (I can't spell them), and then being tugged along through some water and seeing the largest collection of glowworms in the world. The Glowworms where breathtaking, I have never seen anything like it, the whole roof of the cave was lit up with thousands of little lights!
After Westport we headed straight across to the other coast to Blenheim, which is Wine tasting region (sorry to make you jealous dad), we went around a few wineries, and even Ads found a wine he likes and then to a local brewery. Carsten even got us a military house for $25 (just 10 quid)!
