It's sometimes hard to see how Madison is the capital of Wisconsin. It can been so small at times. It doesn't take very long before you're right out into the country heading to another county and then madison itself doesn't have nearly as many tall buildings as Chicago does. The main reason I've come here is because my friend Tim lives here. Three years ago he was an exchange student in Australia for the first time and we've stayed in contact since then, so now it's my turn to see his hometown and see what there is to see in his home country. It was good timing that I got here when I did because there is a free world music festival going on at the moment with bands coming and playing from around the world, hence the 'world' music festival. So far I've since Cuban singers, four amazing Indian musicians and an group of russian folk players, all bringing with them sounds traditional to the own countries. Cheese and beer are are what Wisconsin is famous for and people say there's not a lot to do here. Sometimes there isn't, but I managed to keep myself occupied. The highlight was definitely seeing Tim and meeting some of his friends.
