Where I stayed
Today we went on the Singapore Duck Tour, an amphibious vehicle that tours both roads and waterways of Singapore. After this we decided to visit the Marina Bay Sands resort. This is the most expensive hotel/resort in the world, costing $5.7 million US dollars. The resort consists of three towers with a boat-shaped structure containing an infinity pool and observation deck at the top. At the bottom of the resort is a large shopping mall complete with Italian-style canal and an ice rink. We wandered round the shops and had some lunch, but unfortunately couldn't visit the observation deck as it was closed due to heavy rain.
That evening we went to a bar near the Fullerton Hotel where Laura was having after-work drinks with colleagues. We then moved on to eat at a very nice Asian fusion restaurant around the corner. After this we headed back to Clarke Quay and went to a bar called Clinic which served drinks in syringes and drips!
