Cordoba: face rubbing time
till next time guys (with with mo and beard)
ah cordoba what can I say other than its the one place in spain my older brother didn't go to but really wanted to, hence face rubbing time. Naturally I´m going to say its wonderful, its warm sunny and full of history. We started of going to the church/mosque what you call it depends on whether your a local or not. the building was an amazing feat of moorish construction which the spanish built a church in side. reading the free information that came with the ticket inside you realise something more amazing than the building itself. The spanish still aren´t over the moorish conquest. I've saved it just for the entertainment it provides in reading it. and to burn my older brother, petty i know but i´m just getting started. After the church/mosque we went to the palace gardens at night and after about 10 minutes of the fat ticket man yeling at us in spanish he finally gave us our tickets and in we went. Well the gardens were alive, full of cats and brides. there must have been about 6 couples having wedding photos taken there, so don´t worry Geoff i´ll be ready in January for your photos. The next day we went off to medina azahara the site of once great moorish city, a fantastic place not only because geoff really wanted to go there but also because they had a wood fire oven and I got lots of photos of myself there wearing his t-shirt. Now i believe thats enough face rubbing and pettiness. Today we took a walk to the marquises of viana palace an extremely well decorated house with 13 courtyards, well worth a visit if you do come here. well thats pretty much it for now except that I got a photo of the best mullet on a teenage kid who was at one of the weddings and in honor of Flashman I´ve started to grow some bonny black cavalry whiskers (also called tart catchers). I´m might have to shave soon though, i look too much like a local and I´m bad at giving directions even in english.
