Where I stayed
During the morning the birds were singing so loud that they sounded as though they were out of control. Their tweets sounded a bit like a bunch of builders wolf whistling. Despite this Annabelle managed to fall asleep and we were wondering how on earth we were going to start getting up in the morning when we got home.
Annabelle was particularly worried as she never hears the alarm so how will she survive when she goes back to work. Oh dear!
For dinner we headed down to the beach again for sunset.
As we were walking down the beach we spotted one restaurant who was relaying current affairs to attract holidaymakers.
They had placed a sign outside that said ...
'UK Fuel Shortages! Beer Shortages Soon! Please panic buy beer here!' Genius.
We continued looking for some inspiration for dinner, but sadly did not find any at the right price. So instead we opted for the Burger bar again and for the second night in a row we really enjoyed a good old burger. Whilst noshing on the culinary delight we watched a lovely sunset – making our last night at Surin a beautiful one.
As we walked back up the hill we realised just how cool it had been by the beach. It felt as though all of the air had been sucked out of the atmosphere. Skeney was pouring with sweat by the time we got back and had to jump straight into the shower, blaming it on the bug spray, yeah right.
Since arriving in Thailand we had joked about how many ‘mini holidays’ we had left before we had to fly home. Suddenly in the morning we were down to our last holiday and it felt very strange indeed.
