This was our first truly lazy day. Chris got up at 8... Annabelle did not. After much berating she finally surfaced at 9am so we decided we needed a day to re-group!
We set about repacking our bags, doing our washing in the local laundromatte, updating all of our blogs and calling family.
Annabelle and her dad spoke on Skype, which was great as she showed him the car and the cabins whilst Chris spoke with his parents on the phone as we now have a phone card, bargain at only 5c per minute!!
Then it was time for Chris's worst nightmare... Annabelle’s first American driving lesson! We survived... just, as some cars crossing our lane almost wiped us out!
Next was the laundromatte and back to, yes you’ve guessed it -Stop and Shop (our favourite) where today they had a fresh tank of lobsters crawling around.
They even had a boil while you wait service. In the afternoon we spent some time planning the next few day’s travels whilst trying not to spend too much money - not as easy as it sounds as breathing here in America seems to cost something!
It was generally a very nice and relaxing day, finished up with a little BBQ. We went to bed fit and ready for tomorrow as it is going to be a fun packed day.
