As we prepare to leave the Med today here is a summary of a few of our thoughts. We really did have a good time over the last few months that it's hard to really describe what an adventure it's been. We have been to some amazing places and met some really lovely people, particularly this last month as we catch up with lots of sailors going the same way as us...Out..... It's been very sociable...

Hope to have a good sail to the Canaries via Morocco, well see....

Best Thing about the Med
Harri - How close it is to all the nice European Cities and the cheap flights to them
Tom - The Culture, hasn't really got much else. Oh yeah and the cave dive near Soller.
Shaz - Wandering thru old towns looking at the buildings and sitting in Cafe's having coffee.
Pete - The history and old buildings. Also how much character and culture the crowded towns have.

Worst Thing about the Med
Harri  - How fun and adventurous it all is. NOT.
Tom- The Weather, so unpredictable.
Shaz - No Cadbury chocolate, the expense of everything, the really unpredictable weather and feeling isolated at times not being able to understand the language or the rules....
Pete - The pain- in- the- ass weather.....unpredictable, forecasts always wrong, crowded marinas and anchorages and the way the marinas extort ridiculous amounts of money for tying up.

Best Food
Harri- My Mothers homemade cooking..
Tom - Toss up between the good old English food here in Gibraltar, Bangers and Mash or Pie ?
Shaz - Chicken Caesar Salad at Irish Murphy's Pub in Spain (sad I know)
Pete - Too many to name. Many served on board Bella.

Worst Food
Harri - Italian pizzas
Tom - Peperoni pizzas in Sardinia which didn't have pepperoni at all but big soggy pieces of capsicum called pepperoni.
Shaz - Lunch in an Italian/Asian Cafe in Rome with very plastic pasta and pizza. It should have been a giveaway!
Pete - Not being a fussy eater, I like most food I'm served. Had a few dodgy ones, but that's just because I paid good money for something a bit ordinary.....not that the food was really bad.

Funniest Thing
Harri - Watching my mother get on a segaway in Paris
Tom - Dave "Victor John Deere" Sutherland's lawn mower comparison to a segway.
Shaz - When Dave Sutherland said that riding a segway (in Paris) was similar to using a ride on lawn mower, giving him the nickname Victor John Deere. Laughed very hard on that one for quite a long time.
Pete - I think our time with the Sutho's brought plenty of laughs - especially our Segway experience....Daves Victor moment and Shaz's Segway dance.

Scariest Thing
Harri -  Tom's face
Tom - Nothing I'm not scared of anything..."I'm like Batman.
Shaz - Watching the Sutherlands want to die on the sail from Rome to Olbia and wondering if well ever be forgiven.
Pete- Maybe when the boat dragged it's anchor in Sardinia. Although, not really scary, just a bit of concern getting back to her quickly.

What will you miss the most
Harri  - NOTHING...
Tom - The Spanish girls on the beaches in the Balearic Islands
Shaz - Coffee, old stuff....
Pete- Definitely the coffee, although we make a pretty good one on the boat now. Oh yeah the beautiful  Spanish women...sorry Shaz (you know I'm too old for them).

If you could have one person from home who would it be?
Harri - I want both Michael and Lucy
Tom - Too hard, too many friends, I can't help being popular!
Shaz - I'm like Tom, I'd like a menagerie of my friends here to enjoy it with me.
Pete - Matt

If you could be anywhere else in the world where would it be?
Harri - At home in Noosa
Tom - The Bat Cave or some underground bunker planning my world domination schemes..... Or then I could be with my friends playing Halo into the early hours of the morning.
Shaz - Anywhere with warm weather and clear waters
Pete - I liked Bermuda a lot, but right now somewhere warm like the Canary Islands would do.

What was your favourite place in the Med?
Harri - Venice
Tom - Bella Vita, I don't like to get off too much.
Shaz - Soller and most of Mallorca, so beautiful..... No wonder Christopher Skase hid out here!
Pete - A tie between the little town of Valdemossa, most of Mallorca & Venice

Life here in noosa is as predictable as eva...u know the wind blows,an I go an bla bla bla summers here an I like it.Kited with some whales the other day off peregian that was pretty special having then breaching an tail slapping only meters away from you about 2k off shore with no one else around and no noise from boat engines to make them shy away, made me feel all happy an peaceful, but then when I went in front of them they got spooked an dived, awesome experience.
How was your cave dive boys ? That sound like gr8 fun
I am going to dive wolf rock soon with a dive instructor friend of mine, we are going down to around 40 meters! I cant wait!!

Hey Shaz and Pete - As u seem 2 have disappeared off the face of the earth, I presumed Malaccan (is that how its spelt) pirates were somehow imvolved. Matt tells me everything's fine - but I may be talking 2 his answering service?? 1 of the other families is doing the same as u - just bought a big Catamaran.
