I finally ventured down to Cable Beach for the world famous Camel ride.

The funniest thing about it is the noise the camels make when you are climbing on top of them.  It is like nothing I have ever heard before...it is a cross between a horses neigh and a lions roar.  Poor Tommy was scared and Ben was just a little wary.  The way the camels stand up and sit down is a little rough and frightening...but Ben did really well and Tommy, not being 100% as it was, had a bit of a sook.  It actually took me back to a holiday long ago when Sam and I took a ride on a camel.  Sam cried the whole time she was on the camel only to settle down just in time for it to sit back down.

Tommy settled down not long into the ride and actually fell asleep.

It was a fun ride along the beach and past a nudest beach only to witness NO NUDITY...I was disappointed...I was really looking forward to seeing some 70 year old exhibitionists standing around with their saggy bits (NOT!)

Mark and Ben have headed to the beach today and I am chilling at the caravan whilst Tommy has a snooze...aaahhhh the peace and quiet...

Now back to my book....
