Today was a bit of an early start as my roommate and I headed off to macca's to grab some breakfast before catching up with a few of the other guys and we headed out to the ground to make sure that we were there for the start of play. After the dramtics of Edgbaston no one felt like we could miss a ball, so we headed around to the fanatics section which just happened to be right next to the Barmy Army....I wonder why!!!

The day didnt get off to a great start as England won the toss and elected to bat. We did have some good news in that Pigeon was warming up and it was confirmed that he would play.

Today turned into a fairly long day as England batted well and our bowling was fairly poor and the day finished with england a lot of runs for not many wickets.

Tonight we all headed off to the nearest pub till the crowd had dispurse and we were able to fit onto the trams back into the city. I had arranged to meet up with my friend Mark who I had met in Boston last year for a catch up and he came at met me at this pub as he only worked down the road.

We headed back into Manchester eventually and again ended up at the Walkabout after I had been back to the hotel to change into something that met that Mark wouldnt have to walk two foot behind me and pretend that he wasnt with me.

I think we headed back to the hotel about 11.30 so that Mark could get the bus home cause he had to work in the morning and then I headed up to bed. It had been a long day all round.
