Houston, we are go for launch. We launched our away 550 miles South down to Titusville, Florida for the Space Shuttle Atlantis launch with 6 crew inside. We would not call ourselves space enthusiast but this was totally awesome. Us and another 1000 or so people gathered on the shores of Titusville to watch the Shuttle launch, it will soon be before it is decomissioned and donated to schools for educational purposes. It was totally amazing watching the shuttle launch and thinking of the crazy people inside who had just strapped themselves to several tonnes of combustible fluids. The Shuttle was making its way to the Internatioanl Space station, which we knew nothing about before but are now totally fascinated by it, its pretty cool even if it does use a lot of fossil fuels to get up there.

In honor of the Shuttle launch we spent several days in the area and checked out the Kennedy Space Center. We spent 2 days touring the center, you get to see the launch pads (from a distance), pieces of the international space station being built and prepared for their journey into space and lots of history and information on sapce flight. They also have lots of old rockets and a Shuttle that you can climb on and check out. We walked on the run way that Neil Armstong walked on and met a real Astronaut, cool! His name was Bob Springer. The centre is pretty high tech and has flight simulations and 3D cinemas showing movies about space and exploration. We both really enjoyed our time here and all the new information.

Whilst in Titusville me made a day trip to Melbourne (ha, ha), Florida that was extened into an overnighter and caught up with some of Jesses cousins. It was great getting to know them and to spend some time with them. Thanks guys for hanging out with us and for your generosity and kindness, we had a great time. We also put our feet in the Atlantic Ocean for the first time, thanks Chelsea for figuring that out for us!

The weather has been perfect, no cold and no humidity, love you Florida. We are planning on soaking up a few more rays in Southern Florida before we jet back up North for Thanksgiving. We hope this finds everyone well.

Love and Peace, the amazed by other modes of transport, Bek and Jesse Train.
