Itīs a fact of life, no matter how tired you are or how much you need the sleep if you have an over night flight, you are not going to be able to sleep. So after an exhausting 12 hour flight we landed in Buenos Aires, or B.A., and were unfortunately greeted with a $160 usd/person "reciprocative" entry fee. Thank you, Uncle Sam.  On the upside, we are now able to enter Argentina an unlimited amout of imes over the next ten years.  This is especialy good as we will be in and out of this country a total of 3 times this trip alone.
In the spirit of budget travel, we chose to take the public bus #8 in to the city. This was no M60 bus from laguardia.  this bus took the strangest roundabout route in to the city lasting a total of 2 hours.  the bus cost was 8 pesos but we didnt pay because we were told 2 pesos each and didnt have enough change for the 8 so a nice person helped us out.  Our hostel, called Pax Hostel, was nice enough and a deal and $12usd total for both of us, including breakfast.  We pretty much used this day as a recovery day from a stressful trip. we took a nap amd did a bit of wondering, getting a couple empanadas for lunch for $2.50.  After which, we ate dinner at the hostel that consisted of unlimited pizza and drinks for a total of $24usd.

The next morning we woke up early and jumped on the subway, Subte, $0.50usd each, to head to the train station.  There we took a train out to Tigre to start our first work exchange experience.
Boat through Tigre Delta to ario Carpachay:$3usd each.
