Hi everyone,
I'm teaching my tour group of Tahitians and Russians, and it is FANTASTIC! I love those kids! I got a promotion too! Now I'm no longer teaching in the afternoons, I'm taking the kids on activities! We go to different sights around Auckland, and have a mean time! It's great! I love hanging out with the kids, joking and taking pictures, and they're having a great time too! This week we went horseriding, ice skating, the Skytower, and Snowboarding. Today we had a sports day and it was COOL except I'm starting to feel old! Haha well at least we had fun and I havent lost my basketball skills. And no one died or was fatally injured, although I broke a nail....
Today I made a quiz and we divided the kids into teams (we did it with another class) and it was really fun! I asked all these questions, we tried to tie candy snakes into knots in our mouths, and one member of each team had to eat two weetbix as fast as they could. It was hilarious!
In other news, I was supposed to go to a rugby game with Luis tonight, but I cancelled because I was so tired after school. I went to his new house this week and played some games, it was fun and his house is fun because there are always random Brasileiros living there and everyone's up for a laugh. Fab made a surprisingly delicious midnight lasagne and I played a surfing game on the PS2 with Lucas from Curitiba. Unfortunately he was leaving the next day, I liked him, but too bad ay...tomorrow I'm going to hang out with another roommate who is named Luis (confusing) and I wanna go to minigolf! Cheesy? Maybe. But I don't care, I haven't done it for AGES.
Our weather sucks, they say there's a hurricane coming...ugh.
Anyway I am so wasted from being all genki all week and running around today, I must sleep before it is too late and I have to go eat another of the delicious cookies I made the other day. I miss my friends from Japan every day, but I'm doing a pretty dang fine job of keeping busy. Hope you're all well!! Jya ne!
