Put some photos on for you folks. Sorry they are a bit random, I am using a friends computer.
This weekend Thom, Maribel (from Honduras) Mike and Victor (from California) went to Tokyo. I wanted to go, but I seem to be perpetually poor in this place. Anyway I went to see DA VINCI CODE with Andy and our friend Tomohide. It was funny after the movie, all these Japanese people are sitting there scratching their heads. It is a confusing movie if you have read the book. Very difficult if you havent read it. If you are not Christian and know nothing about Christianity it is near impossible, and if you dont speak English and have to read subtitles the whole time you have no hope. I am sure that 80 percent of the people in that theatre had no idea what that movie was about by the end. Tomohide was so confused! That movie has English, Spanish, and French and with Japanese subtitles Andy could understand everything involved and I think that is so cool.
Last Saturday we also went to do some yard work at our friend's girlfriend's parents place. They made us a barbecue afterwards, it was really fun. They are nice people. We tried to find THE NEED FOR SPEED for Andy's Gamecube but alas it would not be found. But she has it now, fortunately. It is great fun. Sunday I was supposed to go to Aomori but it was pouring with rain and I went to Michaels to use the internet for about six hours, uploaded the picures etc. Monday I had class, the teacher told me not to be late next week but lets be honest, we both know it wont happen. I hope she doesnt hold her breath.
Anyway, last night we watched school of rock and I taught English for an hour that turned into two, to a girl who apparently isnt planning on paying me. I feel this wont last long.
My apartment is clean. Ish. This is a rare occurance, Andy did it while I was cooking lunch today and for that I am indebted to her. I have to teach English tonight again but these people are paying, from 8 until 10 and then we have karaoke scheduled. We dont have school today or tomorrow, and no one seems to know why. Its okay with me though. Thom Maribel, Victor and Mike came back from Tokyo today and I just went over to Thoms to do my laundry and hear of their misadventures. It is quite amusing and culminated ultimately in the story of how Victor needed to pee on the bus there half an hour into it and had to fill a bottle of what once was tea. About an hour later he turns to Thom and says "It's still warm..." ew ew ew.
Anyway last night one of the Thai girls gave me some coconut milk and so I am determined to make a curry today. This ultimately necessitates putting on some rice, cutting vegetables and chicken and generally moving from this spot on my couch where I am somehow miraculously recieving an internet signal and so really, since I have already achieved my single goal today of putting my laundry on, I dont feel that inclined at this point in time.
I am thinking about what to sing at karaoke tonight. I really need to learn some more Japanese music so I can impress everyone again. It is priceless when you bust out a Japanese song in front of Japanese people. Like last week when the one Japanese guy busted out LIVIN LA VIDA LOCA with perfect pronunciation, when the guy cant even construct a simple sentence. Fantastic.
I have to go now and draw up my schedule so that the Centre will stop giving people my number randomly and then I will be able to tell people that I dont work for free. Tomorrow I am going with Craig to find a part time job, he will give me one he had to stop because he got too busy. I'm happy about that. Thursday afternoons baby.
Righto well packages are always appreciated....HINT
